Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update for Nexus 4 now available in Europe
Not long after Google released an Android 5.0 Lollipop factory image for the Nexus 4, it started rolling out the much-awaited OTA (over the air) update for the handset - which is still going strong two years after launch. Now, the update is available to Nexus 4 users in Europe (and likely in most other regions).
You’ll need to have at least 500 MB of free space on your Nexus 4 to install the update. While we’ve already got it on our Nexus 4, not everyone will get it at the same time.
The whole update process took 30-40 minutes to complete on our Nexus 4. If you have a ton of apps installed, it will take longer, because each and every one of them needs to be optimized for Lollipop. We’ve only encountered one bug thus far, but it’s likely that we’ll stumble upon others pretty soon. Of course, Google will release another (smaller) update to fix these bugs.

Android 5.0 Lollipop is arguably the most important update since the very first Android version was released way back in 2008. It brings lots of novelties and improvements, including a brand new visual style (based on what Google is calling Material Design), and a new runtime environment - ART - which replaces Dalvik.
