Android 3.2 update for the Acer ICONIA TAB A500 & A501 is starting to roll out - but in Poland first
Joining the small party of Honeycomb tablets getting in on all of the fun, the Acer ICONIA TAB A500 and A501 are getting their dose of Android 3.2 with an update that’s rolling out as we speak – though, it’s starting out in Poland first.
Already, the Motorola XOOM and Asus Eee Pad Transformer are enjoying the most up-to-date version of Honeycomb, which should sit pretty well for Acer ICONIA TAB A500 and A501 owners out there. Specifically, it carries along the normal set of bug fixes to iron out the platform experience, but more importantly, it also offer things like full SD card support with the operating system. Furthermore, the new up-scaling method allows some of the common Android smartphone apps to look much better on the tablet.
Granted that it’s slowly rolling in Poland right now, we suspect it to eventually hit other markets throughout the world – so don’t fret about it. Naturally, it’s in the form of an over-the-air update to make the process streamlined and hassle-free. Now the only thing left to do before seeing that notification is playing the waiting game.
