This tweet from ASUS tells us that the popular Eee Pad Transformer is getting tested with Android 3.2
One of the
better surprises to be launched this year in the tablet world is the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. And the tablet is about to be improved as a tweet from ASUS tells us that Android 3.2 is being tested on the device. This is the
last update for the Honeycomb version of Google's open source OS which means that the Transformer will next be served with Ice Cream Sandwich after the installation of Android 3.2. Ironically, Google has not even announced Android 3.2 yet, but it seems that some tablet manufacturers have it for testing purposes.
Who would have figured that ASUS would produce the
most popular tablet besides the Apple iPad? Once the current testing is completed, the Transformer will have the latest and greatest tablet optimized Android OS available. And as we
reported, the next version of the Transformer, probably coming out this fall, could have a Tegra 3 under the hood along with the aforementioned Ice Cream Sandwich. Sounds like a tasty treat for Android tablet fans.
