Android 2.1 update for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is shown off on video
Last time we heard, Sony Ericsson was delaying the Android 2.1 update for their line of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 devices until late October to allow them ample time to iron things out so that the experience will be seamless.

However, they did provide a small tasting of what to expect in a video that shows off all of the expected goodies from the upcoming software update. So if you're holding tightly onto your device dreaming for the day for some Eclair love, you can simply watch the video to see what you're in for when it finally arrives.

With the update, it'll offer things like continuous auto-focus with its camera, five homescreens as opposed the the three now, 20 icons per screen versus the current 16, thumbnail shortcuts to the homescreens, the ability to mute the handset while in the lock screen, and the addition of two widgets. In addition, you'll get to experience all of the wonders that Android 2.1 has to offer – such as live wallpapers, Exchange support, universal inbox, quick contact shortcuts, and HTML5 support with the web browser.

So maybe the delay isn't such a bad thing?
