As the Sun rises in the East, the price of the Palm Pre drops online. Amazon is now offering the touchscreen handset for $99.99 with a 2 year contract. As for a rebate, forget about it. The online retailer is taking it off the front end so that you can pay with a Benjamin and still get Abe back as change (not the $5 bill, greedy). As for Sprint, the price of the Pre at the carrier's stores and online remains at the $149 level that we recently reported, and that is after a mail-in-rebate. Of course, a 2 year contract needs to be signed for that price as well.
