It was only natural to see AT&T's Palm Pre Plus slowly make its way to the free land – just as we did when Wirefly dropped its price to free last week. Even though Amazon clearly had an attractive price of $49.99 versus AT&T's $149.99, the online retailer decided to follow suit in slashing its price all the way down to $0.01. Granted it's still a penny more than you would be paying for Wirefly's offering, it's still nonetheless a decent deal when you consider the possibilities with the webOS powered smartphone. Strangely enough, new customers signing a new 2-year contract will be eligible for the $0.01 price while existing customers with a qualified upgrade can buy it for $49.99. To even sweeten the deal for you, Amazon will be throwing in free activation and shipping for your purchase – it's nice to see them help you in every way. So if you've been itching to check out the Palm Pre Plus for AT&T, now would be a good time to get yourself comfy with one.
