Aluminum dummy mold of the new iPhone for case makers pops up, confirming the design rumors
We've been sent a couple of pictures that allegedly portray dummy units of the upcoming iPhone. Those aluminum dummies are generally used by case makers as molds for their products, so they can be ready with a number of accessories when the device launches.
The source from MobileDirect.ro, a mobile phone accessories distributor, says they have been invited to a couple of partner meetings at the IFA 2012 expo last week, where the dummy aluminum iPhone 5s were present, and they managed to snap a few shots.
Nothing really we haven't seen so far, just confirming the general elongated in comparison to the iPhone 4/4S shape, the two-stage back, and larger display, but one more drop of water in the rumor mill towards the grand unveiling next Wednesday. Have a peak in the slideshow below, and have patience with loading, as the original pics are pretty large.
Thanks, Silviu!
