Alleged Xiaomi Mi Note 2 with Galaxy Note 7-esque design leaks: dual camera, curved display & back

Earlier this month, we showed you a picture allegedly showing us an upcoming Xiaomi device with what seems to be a curved display. Apart from sparkling our ever-hungry curiosity to a whole new level, this picture could have given us a first look at Xiaomi's upcoming Mi Note 2, which is almost certainly on the way.

We just stumbled upon a hot new batch of many new renders and real-life pictures of what we know expect to be the Mi Note 2. These show us the curved display of the device as well as its sloped rear cover, and we can't help but draw some rather clear similarities with the Galaxy Note 7, which employs a similar exterior design. The Xiaomi Mi 5-like metal-glass exterior is also a loud shoutout to the Note 7's design, which draws another similarity line between the two Notes.

What's more, two of the low-quality renders show us that the back of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be housing two cameras, which falls in line with the rumors we've heard originating from mainland China. Only time will show if Xiaomi is indeed prepping such a device or said renders are merely the wishful thinking of a zealous fan.

As far as the specs and the possible announcement of the phone are concerned, we expect to phone to boast a 5.7-inch quad HD display, a Snapdragon 821 chipset, 6GB of RAM and some 128 GB of native storage, and a 4,000mAh battery. The cameras are tipped to be 12MP each.

Additionally, the rumor mill claims that the phone could be announced sometime in early September, with September 5 being thrown in the mix. Interestingly, there is a possible pricing floating around either — the phone could retail for $526 in China.
