Alleged Sony Xperia C5 prototype worth $12 mil got recovered and leaked by the Brazilian police
It's strange to have the Sao Paulo police leaking an upcoming Sony smartphone for us to see, but then again, we are living in a strange world!

See, a prototype of what appears to be the upcoming Sony Xperia C5 Ultra (the device looks exactly like in the leaked manual pages), worth as much as $12 million dollars in development spending, was stolen from a certification company in Campinas and put on sale online. A week and a half later, local police arranged a dinner with the seller, sent an undercover agent, and arrested the salesman in the middle of the transaction.

According to the certification company, the unannounced smartphone will cost about US $893 (R$3000) when it hits the market in Brazil. For better or worse, no specifications or other elaborate details about the device have managed to surface. But even the Brazilian police force cannot cannot hide the obliterated side bezels, an interesting addition to Sony's design language.

If this really is the Xperia C5, and we're Judging by the bezels and the front cam's location, then the smartphone is expected to sport a 1080p display of at least 5.5 inches, a 64-bit octa-core processor made by MediaTek, 2 GB of RAM, and a pair of 13MP cameras on the front and back panels.

We'll most probably see Sony announce this one, and other rumored devices at the IFA conference in Berlin this September.
