Alleged Nokia Android phone rear panel leaks, jibes with previous renders
We learned last week that the Finnish company that got licensed the rights to sell Nokia-branded smartphones, will be coming up with a few of those next year. Rumors are that we will see one or two announced come MWC time in early spring, and some more will follow throughout 2017.
There was a render of an alleged Nokia Android phone, codenamed D1C, which depicted a rectangular slab with tapered sides and a center-middle camera setup. Well, today we get the alleged back plate of an upcoming Nokia phone, and it pretty much looks like what we saw in the render.
This particular Nokia phone is said to be a midrange affair, with 1080 x 1920 resolution display, according to some leaked AnTuTu benchmarks. A Snapdragon 430 chipset drives the phone with an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 505 GPU. 3 GB of RAM is inside along with 32 GB of internal storage. On the back of the phone will be a 13MP camera, while an 8MP camera in front handles selfies and video chats. Oh, well, at least it seems crafted out of metal, and there will apparently be a marketing blitz behind its launch.
