Alleged HTC One M8 mini image shows up, no Duo camera on the back

Expected to be available starting next month, the unannounced HTC One M8 mini may have been pictured today for the very first time.

What seems to be the One M8 mini appeared in an image posted via Weibo - the most popular Chinese microblogging platform. As you can see above, the handset has a protective case on, and looks a lot like the original One M8, with one major difference: it features a single camera on the back, not the Duo camera arrangement that’s found on the larger One M8. According to previous rumors, the rear camera of the M8 mini should be a 13MP unit (without HTC's UltraPixel technology).

Other features that the One M8 mini reportedly offers include a 4.5-inch 720p display, quad-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. Obviously, Sense 6.0 UI and Android 4.4 KitKat should be on board.

Sure enough, there’s no way of telling if this is indeed the real One M8 mini. But we can’t imagine that the smartphone can look any different anyway.

Just like the 5-inch HTC One M8, the M8 mini will probably be released in many markets around the world - including in the US, where Verizon should offer it at some point. We're pretty sure that more details about this will be revealed soon, so make sure to stick around.
