We've heard the rumors about the Apple iPad Air 2 sporting an A8X SoC and 2 GB of RAM a few times already. A picture, published by Taiwanese site Apple Club just adds to the pile, but it's still an interesting bit to look at.
What Apple Club posted is allegedly the guts of an iPad Air 2 – a PCB board with what looks to be most of its components already in place, including the A8X chip and the Elpida 2 GB RAM chip right next to it. If real, the whole thing was possibly pulled fresh off the assembly line (let's hope no one gets
fined $50 million for this juicy leak).
The Apple iPad Air 2 is expected to be revealed this Thursday, alongside a new version of the iPad mini, and a refresh of at least one of the Mac lines (as derived from the Cupertinians' invitation, which only reads "It's been way too long"). The event
will be live-streamed, but if you can't wait – check out our rumor round-up
here.
