Affordable HTC Desire 610 officially launching at AT&T on July 25
HTC today confirmed the existence of a Desire 610 for AT&T. Even more, the company unveiled that AT&T will start selling the handset on July 25. It didn’t say how much the device would cost, but we’re expecting AT&T to offer it for a low price anyway. The 610 costs around €300 in Europe, so maybe its US price will hover around $300 (unlocked).
Initially announced by HTC in February, the Desire 610 is by no means a One M8 (which is available at AT&T since March). The 610 is made out of plastic, and features: a 4.7-inch display with 540 x 960 pixels, LTE, BoomSound stereo speakers, quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and 8GB of expandable internal memory.
The handset seems to be running Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.0 UI. Weighing 145 grams and measuring 143.1 x 70.5 x 9.6 mm, the new Desire includes a 2,040 mAh battery.
