Affordable Archos Diamond Tab coming soon, LTE and Android Lollipop on board
Not long after announcing the Windows 10 Mobile-based 50 Cesium and the Lollipop-based Diamond S smartphones, Archos today unveiled a brand new tablet. Called Archos Diamond Tab, this is an affordable slate that offers LTE connectivity (in addition to dual band Wi-Fi), and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Presented as "a flagship product of the Archos brand", the Diamond Tab sports a 7.9-inch IPS display with 1536 x 2048 pixels, weighs 380 grams, and is 7.8mm-thin. The tablet is powered by a 64-bit, octa-core Mediatek MT8752 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, further featuring 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, microSD card support, and a 4800 mAh battery. On the back, the Archos Diamond Tab has a 5 MP camera, while its front-facing camera is a 2 MP one.

Archos will showcase the Diamond Tab next week at IFA 2015 in Berlin, alongside the Diamond S and 50 Cesium smartphones. The new tablet will be released in October, and it's going to cost £179 in the UK (which probably means it will be sold for around $250 in the US). Any buyers here?
