Adobe says Chrome for Android will never get Flash, will stick to the HTML5 future
Adobe has confirmed that the newfangled Chrome browser for Android that was released yesterday in a limited beta for Ice Cream Sandwich devices only, won't be getting Flash support after the limited release, as some hoped.
The default Android browser runs Flash well, and that has been one of its big selling points for a while now, but it will eventually be replaced with Chrome for Android to unify Google's desktop and mobile browsing experience, and that's where Flash might cease to be supported.
This moment still hasn't come, though, and Adobe's plans are to step up its HTML5 support and development efforts, as it continues to work on Flash for the desktop.
