Acer Iconia Tab A700 launches in the US and Canada with Full HD display, Tegra 3 and $450 price tag with 32GB
Acer just launched its promised Iconia Tab A700, which we handled at the MWC Expo this year, but the company was mum on release date and pricing until today, the actual release date for pre-sales in US and Canada.

And the pricing is pretty good for a tablet with a 10" 1920x1200 Full HD screen and a quad-core Tegra 3 processor - $450 - and that's with 32GB of internal memory from the get go.

This pixel density is 55% higher than what you have on your typical 10-incher, but not for the sake of battery life. Somehow Acer has managed to cram a huge 9800mAh battery to supply 10.5 hours of juice for continuous video playback or 8 hours of web surfing.

There is also a microSD slot for storage expansion, HDMI port for TV-out and a 5MP camera capable of 1080p video plus an HD front-facer. Music aficionados will appreciate that Dolby Mobile 3.0 5.1 channel surround sound is also in the kit.

The Acer Ring customized app launcher has been plastered over Android 4.0 on the Iconia Tab A700, and the slate weighs just over 1.47 pounds and measures 10.23 (L) x 6.89 (W) x 0.43 (H) inches. At $450 with 32GB of memory, it might be bound to rack'em sales up.
