According to a survey, messaging services will become even more popular

What would the world be in 2013? Are we going to drive electric cars or go to work with helicopters? One can hardly say for sure. A Portio Research survey however, states that even 5 years ahead, messages will continue to be the most profitable (for the carriers) way of non-voice communication. According to their report, the mobile messaging industry worth $130 billion in 2008, and in 2013 it’s expected to reach $224 billion. Looks like the economic recession won’t really influence this element of the industry.
Although that many ways of communication like multimedia messages, e-mail and IM have been created in recent years, SMS messages continue to be the most popular one. The reason is that it is the cheapest method, moreover – it works with all phones and networks. A fresh example for the love of people towards messaging is our favorite teenager that managed to send 14,528 messages in one month.
