AT&T starts rolling out Android 9.0 Pie update to the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ and Note 8
Great news for AT&T customers who bought Samsung's flagships, specifically the Galaxy S8/S8+ or Note 8, as the carrier has just commenced the Android 9.0 Pie rollout to these devices. The update is underway and it will reach all devices in the coming days, but since it's deployed in waves, it might not be available to everyone at the same time.

The information hasn't been confirmed by AT&T officials, but AndroidSoul spotted a few Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ and Note 8 users on reddit who reported that they have successfully captured the update. Expect One UI and March security patch to be included in the update, but also make sure you have at least 2GB free storage before you download it.

If you've bought any of the smartphones mentioned from AT&T, you can check for the update right now, but if it's not available you can try to set your date to a day later and check again. If it's still not available, you might have to wait a while longer until AT&T releases the update to a larger number of devices.

AT&T is just the second major carrier in the United States that starts rolling out the Android 9.0 Pie update to the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8/S8+, after Sprint. Verizon and T-Mobile should follow soon, although it will take some time until all Samsung's carrier-bounded flagships launched in the US last year will be updated to Android 9.0 Pie.
