The conditions of the deal/s may have changed since the initial publishing of this post.
If you will be missing out on the best Galaxy S9 deal so far for various reasons (like not being a Costco member), in case you are not on the market for a new plan from AT&T, or simply because you miss the March 22 deadline, here's the next best thing. AT&T offers the same very deal now (sans the Costco cash card, of course), but running until the end of the month, and folding the Note 8 into its warm, loving embrace, too.
Thus, if you sign up for a new AT&T plan starting from $45/month with the AutoPay and paperless billing discounts, or add a new line from $28.5/month, and sign up for AT&T Next or AT&T Next Every Year that lets you pay your Galaxy S9 in 24 or 30 installments, the carrier will chop 50% off the phone's $780 price.
The discount will come in the form of bill credits, but is limited to half the S9 price, so for the S9+ or Note 8, the percentage will be lower, as those cost $915 and $950, respectively. Still, a pretty good deal if you are a Galaxy lover on AT&T, and need a new line of service. Bear in mind that you will have to pay the sales tax beforehand, and a $45 activation fee will apply, but these are par for the course anyway. If you cancel prematurely, though, you'll have to pay the remaining device balance in full.
