AT&T launches an open beta for their Buzz service
In the hopes of helping people to know what kind of experience to expect from a specific business, AT&T Interactive has opened a public beta for Buzz – their service that aims to allow users to “discover, share, and store recommendations for great local businesses.” Although some would argue that it has something in common with Google Buzz, it mainly places its gaze by integrating it with popular social networking networks such as Facebook to provide some honest recommendations to your friends. Essentially Buzz allows users to search and favorite businesses to enable the community to be connected with other users and businesses. Although it supports only a select amount of smartphones currently available in AT&T's lineup, potential users can sign up simply by typing in buzz.com or m.buzz.com into the phone's web browser. So if you like to rate stores that you frequently visit, then you should check out Buzz to give your two cents.
