AT&T also makes changes to their unlimited plans in the wake of Verizon

With the big news coming from Verizon regarding their new price structure on unlimited calling plans, it only took a while for AT&T to respond. On January 18th, the same day that the new plans for Verizon go into effect, AT&T will also be offering unlimited calling pans for a lower price then they do now. Feature-Phones on a single line will cost $69.99 for unlimited talk, while a family plan with 2 lines will be $119.99. Unlimited texting add-on remains unchanged at $20 for single lines and $30 for family plans. For Quick Messaging Devices, pricing is now $89.99 for unlimited talk and text on single lines and $149.99 on family plans with 2 lines. Furthermore, Smartphones (including the iPhone) will now have unlimited data and voice for $99.99 on single lines plans and $179.99 on family plans with 2 lines, but unlimited texting remains $20 and $30 a month extra.
