AT&T Tilt 2 shows up in carrier's system; launch delay blamed on software addition
Yesterday, we reported that AT&T would be launching the Tilt 2 on October 18th after a 12 day delay. The carrier's version of the HTC Touch Pro2 needed more time to rid the device of some bugs. What brought on the bugginess? AT&T was trying to place a carrier specific addition to the software, so at least we can say that the 12 extra days that AT&T customers have to wait was due to something positive happening. Further proof that the phone is coming soon is the model's placement on AT&T's computer system. According to a spy shot of a computer screen that BGR received from a tipster, both versions of the Tilt 2 (there is a No Camera variant for those who want to use the handset at work, but are in a very sensitive line of business-like making donuts) show entries for insurance options and for used phones. And while each of the top four U.S. carriers will now be offering their own model of the HTC Touch Pro2, we are more than a bit curious to know what AT&T has added to the mix that has delayed the launch by 12 days.
