The ASUS Transformer Pad TF300
Earlier this month, ASUS pushed out an update to the
ASUS Transformer Pad TF300which brought Android 4.2.2 to the slate. But if you happened to have your bootloader unlocked and missed the update, or want to try to install an update directly from ASUS' servers, the OEM has released a
ROM of Android 4.2.1 for the slate. It comes in three flavors, Global, China or P2P, so better ascertain which group you're in before starting. All three are about 500MB in size.
All of the new features, enhancements and bug fixes are here. All of the Android 4.2 features are represented like multi-users, quick settings and lock-screen widgets. We've said quite a few times, to the point of ad nauseum, that ASUS is one of the best manufacturer's when it comes to updating its devices, so if you did miss the OTA update, consider this your
lifeline to Android 4.2 for your ASUS Transformer Pad TF300. Simply click on the sourcelink.
