ASUS CEO Jerry Shen pulled a tablet out of his hat in Taipei at Computex. During a Qualcomm presentation, the executive hinted about an Android tablet coming in the third quarter. The display will offer resolution of 1920 x 1080 and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon. The slate will also offer LTE connectivity.
There is some speculation that this could be a Qualcomm powered version of the just introduced ASUS MeMo Pad FHD 10 which is powered by a dual-core Intel processor. Will there be any more surprises coming out of Taipei tonight?
"In Q3 of this year, we will raise the bar of mobile devices by launching an incredible LTE tablet, which will have Qualcomm Snapdragon, full HD display and ASUS SonicMaster to bring our consumers the most superior and seamless mobile experience. I will save the rest for our launch event in the fall."-Jerry Shen, CEO, ASUS
