AMOLED-friendly themes for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge should be available soon
Last month, when Samsung announced the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, it also revealed that both handsets would have a number of pre-installed themes, thus allowing users to change the look of TouchWiz UI (including fonts, apps, or the dialer and messaging apps).
Besides having access to the themes that come pre-installed, Galaxy S6 and S6 edge owners will also be able to download additional ones from the Samsung Themes Store. SamMobile discovered that there will be some "AMOLED friendly" dark themes available, which should save power whenever the 5.1-inch Quad HD displays of the S6 and S6 edge are turned on. Of course, if you don't like dark themes, there will be plenty of others to choose from (including "themes with adorable characters", and "themes to boost your mood"). All these extra themes should be launched starting this month.
As previously reported, user-made themes will also be available at some point.
Both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge are available to pre-order since last month, and some lucky users already received their orders, thanks to the fact that T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint have started shipping the two new flagship smartphones.
