A facelift for Nokia's Ovi Store
The Ovi Store for Nokia phones has been given a fac lift that carries with it a new look and a few welcome changes.
For starters, the look of the Ovi Store has changed. It is intended to be a more user-friendly look with some new navigation icons that now include “Search,” “Account,” “Categories” and an option to bring you to the store’s “Menu.” The options for “Store Menu” and “Back found in previous iterations of the Ovi Store are now made visible all the time.
This newest version of the Ovi Store is meant to be optimized for any of the Nokia phones running on Symbian^3. This includes all of Nokia’s recent announcements, such as the E6 and the C7. The Ovi Store finally has the ability to multi-task, meaning that it can download multiple applications at one time.
This may only seem like a minor update, but it brings some welcome changes for an ever-changing line of phones. It is nice to see that the number 1 phone manufacturer in the world is making an effort to keep up with the times, and their app store.
