9.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 coming soon?
Last month, we told you that Samsung was working on a new tablet - SM-T555 - that should be included in its upcoming Galaxy Tab 5 series. Now, thanks to a fresh listing found at Zauba (a website that tracks India's imports and exports), we can see that the SM-T555 seems to sport a 9.7-inch display - which, of course, would be something new for Samsung.
Unfortunately, at the moment there aren't too many details about the new tablet. However, we could speculate that, like Apple's 9.7-inch iPad Air, the screen of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab may have a 4:3 aspect ratio, instead of the 16:9 one that Samsung's been using until now.
In addition to the 9.7-inch SM-T555, it's said that Samsung should also launch a 7-inch Galaxy Tab 5. Looking at last year's Galaxy Tab 4 line-up, we'd also expect an 8-inch model to arrive.
There is no word on when Samsung is planning to announce these new tablets. It could happen pretty soon, though, as the company hasn't unveiled any new slates since June last year.
