720p video recording is on board with the Nexus One courtesy of a hack
High-definition recording is becoming all the rage nowadays as we see an increasing amount of handsets start to offer this feature, but for Google's very own smartphone, it can now include itself in the same league. 720p video recording is making its way to the Nexus One thanks to an xda-developers member who managed to hack the smartphone to bring it up to full high-definition glory. In getting this to work, you'll have to weigh the pros and cons first before rushing to complete the task as Froyo is not supported just yet – but it looks like something is already in the works for it to happen. First thing is first, you'll need to have Cyanogen's CM5.0.8test3 up and running on the handset and then install a patch to get this thing to work. You can check out the sample video to get a tasting of what to expect so you don't go through the entire process only to find that it doesn't suit your needs.
