Even though it apparently won't be launched until April overseas, the Wi-Fi only version of the Motorola XOOM can save users some money. Not only won't you have to pay for the monthly data charge, you can also find the Wi-Fi only version of the XOOM priced at $539 at Sam's Club. At the press conference introducing the product, Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha announced a $599.99 price for the Wi-Fi only version of the Honeycomb flavored tablet.
No U.S. launch date for the variant of Motorola's tablet has been announced, but let's hope that when the sign on the display reads "The tablet you've been waiting for", that doesn't refer to a long wait for the device. And if you're counting, $539 would be $60 less Washington's than the 32GB Apple iPad 2. If it comes down to money, will Sam's price be enough to swing you over to Android?
