5-inch Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) being tested?
Back in 2014, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime was released. The phone carried a 5-inch screen with a 540 x 960 resolution. Under the hood was a quad-core CPU with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage inside. The camera combo from back to front was 8MP/5MP. Now, it appears that a sequel has been green lit.
Based on India's Zauba import-export site, Samsung has been testing a 5-inch handset with the SM-G532F model number. The OG Galaxy Grand Prime was SM-G531. That would seem to be a pretty good indication that the phone being tested is a new Galaxy Grand Prime model.
The SM-G532 appeared on Zauba twice, with listings dated July 12th and August 4th. A total of 7 units were shipped to India on those two occasions. The most recent shipment puts the value of the device at $103 USD. That won't be the retail price of the phone, but it does tell us that the Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) will be a low to mid-range device.
