Join the discussion: "Yes" or "No" to fancy lights on the back of our phones?

I would go with a yes. Smartphone design is pretty stale and it's great to have this more industrial look with the lights as what Nothing is doing. I hope they keep it up!

I mean why not? The design of phones has been stagnant for more than enough time, so I won't stand in the way of experimentation. Even if it is just for marketing purposes.

notification LED in the power button was the best and always visible. Sony / Sony Ericsson did it best.

I own a Nothing Phone 1. Got a leather wallet case on it so I dont realy care about the Glyph interface.

Would prefeer a notification dot on the front instead like on some Sony Xperia devices.

I'd be kind of annoyed seeing somebody's phone flashing constantly in a dim or dark room. I'd rather see them go RGB for different notifications and functions along with lighting animations.

'Breathing lights' are kind of cool, like I used to have on my Nokia E75 and N800, but they are also kind of out of fashion now, I think. As for lights on the back of the phone... why bother? I don't buy phones with the intent of making them 'pretty' for other people's pleasure. So, basically, my answer is no...

I say "NO" to accent lights. Personally I use cases on my phone. Prefer longer battery life

Some nice tiny blinks like the ones we saw on earlier phones showing network statuses would! No too much though
