As long as my Note 9 keeps chugging along it's still the best phone. I guess what I need in this case is an upgradeable chipset! Let me slide in a mini board and chipset like Intel's NUC cards. That would be awesome. Wouldn't mind bumping the refresh rate up a bit though.

In the meantime I'll wait for the current 'flagship' phones to catch up to the Note 9's apparently unbeatable feature set.

2k oled screen, headphone jack support, micro sd card slot, iris scanner, MST, NFC, dual aperture main camera, telephoto camera, Wacom digitiser, I could go on...

My S23+ just feels perfect. Good screen, Good battery life, Good UI.

If only it had SD card support. But anyways, I am able to live with this shortcoming as phone has 256 GB.

You've got me intrigued there. Please elaborate on point 2. I don't think there are ads baked into any first-party phone software, but I might be wrong... Normally, I see those in third-party apps.

Xiaomi phones have ads in India. In the theme store, in the pre installed cleaner app. My mother uses a xiaomi phone and atleast 2-4 times a day she sees an ad in her phone's notification

Samsung phones have ads + lots n lots of duplicate apps and bloatware.(baked in some apps)!

I miss the 3.5mm jack the most. Imagine S23 Ultra with the headphone jack. And fast charging. Previously used Realme X2 pro. Now my S23 Ultra feels like it's taking ages to get charged.

I think Xperia phones come close to what you listed above, although there's no stylus, obviously. The problem with Sony phones, though, is price and availability.

Flatten the damned screen.

That's happening as we speak (chat). Curved screens are bound to be left behind.

Why are you missing the headphone jack? You are not fan of bluetooth technology or just can't find the right headset for you?

I wished Face Unlock and the Iris Scanner WORKED FLAWLESSLY on my Galaxy Note 9!

I never set up face unlock on mine, but the iris scanner worked perfectly for me.
