I'm Android, specifically Samsung. I like the fact that I can customize my Android practically however I choose (mainly ringtone, notification sounds, and alarm sounds), the fact that I can connect a USB drive and use a file explorer app to easily transfer various files between my device and a computer, and lastly having a universal back button.

I guess that I’m with Samsung because I like their UI (even more so now with One UI instead of TouchWiz), and the fact that offer some of the best camera options for Android. I guess that having not used a Pixel or other Android device in nearly 10 years will do that.

I did try iPhone for a year with the 11 Pro, but it was very inconvenient for me to get the notification and alarm sounds I wanted onto the device. Also, not being able to use a USB Drive on my device to transfer pics/videos off wasn’t much convenient for me.

I've been a Samsung user for over a decade. At first it was out of necessity, because After HTC crapped out early, they were the only ones available in the States that really took Android seriously. I liked the Nexus line, was a Fan of HTC through the M8/M9, and was curious about Huawei. Even looked into Motorola and Oneplus. LG seemed to be finally doing some really interesting things until they died off. I always felt like I was missing features when I tried the other brands. Pixels seemed to have build quality issues that Samsung just didn't have. Most brands had little to nonexistent support for what they charged. So, I guess I became like iPhone users: Loyal to the brand out of convenience. Fortunately, they have become incredibly stable and useful devices, where they used to just be novelty with throwing as many "wow" features to the wall and hoping some would stick. I'm interested in the Pixel Fold, but the Samsung Software covers the bases for me for now.

I don't really have a favourite, I tend to jump between apple, Samsung, Huawei mainly, although I am considering Honor and Xiaomi as my upcoming brands to try.

In reality non of them are perfect and you almost need to own 2 Separate devices to get the absolute best, preferably one IOS and one android.

I currently have iPhone and the trade offs are always offputting, BUT due to my work and equipment all being apple based, it is just easier in my life to own and iPhone and IOS devces, but for anything else it would be and S23 ultra currently.

Having both confirmed that iPhone feels more like a social accessory rather than something I like using. At this point, I know that I just don't really LIKE using the iPhone. No sense in pushing myself to use something I don't like using. I keep one as a work phone.

Thats my point exactly, it is my work phone, because all the systems and software at my work is apple based so I literally cant do some functions without an iPhone especially not fast and effectively.

Now if my work and its computers were PC based I would not even own an one, so my iPhone is for mainly work purposes and S23 ultra for everything else

Samsung - because of the Note/Ultra and the watch/tablet ecosystem. Used to root my phones, but haven't done so since the OnePlus 7T McLaren. One UI is decent. Tried iOS in 2020, but didn't like the UI and went back to Note 20

I switch between Apple and Samsung, i would like to try a Xiaomi 13pro but the prices in Europe are on par of s23 ultra/iphone pro and i do not regard them that level yet.

I only need 1 thing, they need to work out of the box, no roms or workarounds. When i spend 1000+ Euro the software and support of it is equally important.

I used to be a Honor/Huawei fan, but now, for political reasons, I don't consider any Chinese brand for purchase.

At the moment I don't have a preference for any brand and analyse whatever is available on the market at the time of purchase. Currently considering getting S23 or pixel 8 or Zenfone 10. But maybe will wait a bit longer and see what s24 has to offer.

"Sure, I've tried other brands along the way out of curiosity"

For how long? Like I did with the iPhone & currently do with the Pixel, "tried other brands along the way out of curiosity" could very well be that you just went to Best Buy, played with the phone for 5 minutes & was like, "Nah".

Well, before PhoneArena went downhill, you could keep a history of the phones you've had. I've had plenty. I would try out a phone for a month or two and then come back to iPhone. Just something about the how everything works together that keeps me coming back.

GSM Arena has something similar: https://www.gsmarena.com/account.php3

I was Samsung at one point.. but then the bloatware pushed me away. I wanted to go to LG.. but they kept screwing up their flagships with a big issue. Looked into the OnePlus route.. but I believe the phones didn't work on Verizon at the time. I am now Pixel.. and will probably not leave.

Stock Android is great.

Camera is beyond what I normally need (the 30x zoom on my 7Pro came in handy yesterday at a convention).

No major bugs like I was witnessing with LG when I was looking to swtich.

The biggest issue I have run into is the keyboard will sometimes freeze up on me and think I'm long pressing a letter into a symbol. I count to 3 and it fixes itself. I don't think that's a phone problem though.
