I will buy from any manufacturer who makes a phone with a compact screen. So right now, Samsung, pixel a series, and zenfone.

Same. That brought me favor to Oppo and Asus. That Zenfone 10 would be perfect with a micro SD slot.

It’s truly impossible for me. I would like an iPhone’s fit & finish, Samsung’s features with Motorola’s MyUX. Breaking it down to a more granular level I’d like LG’s audio, Sony’s FPS/Power button and the radios (particularly Bluetooth) from the Surface Duo 2. I could care less about color, material or display resolution. I would prefer a 16:9 display AND SOME BEZELS PLEASE. I have large meathooks, accidental touches are commonplace.

My favorite that I can use on Verizon is Samsung. Their phones have been rock solid, bug free and real performers since my first one (the Galaxy S3). The Note 9 was the peak of smartphone design. Nothing begot or since has been better.

If I could reliably use it on Verizon, I'd get an Asus Rog Phone 7 Ultimate.

Before 2007 it would have been Motorola. From the StarTAC to the RAZR, they were always top of my list. Then came iPhone and I haven't looked back since. Apple has been the most consistant and most reliable, from hardware to software. When I pick up anything else it just seem like rental car territory to me.

Sure, I've tried other brands along the way out of curiosity but they all feel like second choices - still.

For how long? Like I did with the iPhone & currently do with the Pixel, "tried other brands along the way out of curiosity" could very well be that you just went to Best Buy, played with the phone for 5 minutes & was like, "Nah".

Of course my favorite brand is HTC but since they're not in the spotlight, I'd have to go with Samsung. But, I'm not happy with the way Samsung is going so need to find a new brand

I don't really have a favourite, I tend to jump between apple, Samsung, Huawei mainly, although I am considering Honor and Xiaomi as my upcoming brands to try.

In reality non of them are perfect and you almost need to own 2 Separate devices to get the absolute best, preferably one IOS and one android.

I currently have iPhone and the trade offs are always offputting, BUT due to my work and equipment all being apple based, it is just easier in my life to own and iPhone and IOS devces, but for anything else it would be and S23 ultra currently.

For a long time it was OnePlus (once they stopped the moronic invite system) and I could easily go back because every phone I ever had from them worked flawlessly! However, I am now using a Pixel 7 Pro and it works great. As long as Google keeps the dialer software functions exclusive to Pixel I will be staying with them...for now...it simply cannot be beat! I also like LG, and HTC phones in the past but, well, they have passed. I also had great experiences with Moto in the past and even Huawei! Here in the USA we have limited choices compared to some countries.
