Sony Ericsson of course!

First they were creating the best feature phones.

And then they were manufacturing the best Android phones.

Walkman phone days were great! And I still think my Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray (still working) has the best design ever :))

Apple because it is the only brand that uses stainless steel frame. After holding the Iphone in hand, all other smartphones feels like toys. Also it has the best looking UI and best OS optimisation.

Does a steel frame really matter when you need to put a case on a phone anyway? If you're not using a case, all it takes sometimes is one awkward drop to ruin a $1K phone.

Right now, I really like what Honor is offering. It is like Huawei but with Google services. I recently bought the Honor X9a and i am totally satisfied with what it offers. Lots of storage (256 Gb) and quick charging (40W). Performance is decent enough to play casual games. Having used three generations of Samsung before (S4, S7 edge, S20plus), I do not regret switching to Honor. I still got a charger and a wireless earphone with it and much cheaper that the equivalent Samsung phone.

My favourite brand is Huawei.

As a matter of fact, I have been using Huawei devices since late 2016 and my Huawei devices include Mate 9 vanilla model (2016-2019) and Mate 30 RS Porsche Design which I have been using since 2019 Q4. Huawei manufactures some of the most technologically advanced handsets with outstanding creativity and stability. Its premium models, Mate Porsche Design edition, features exquisite design and premium build that is really to my taste, albeit at a high price. Also, performance deterioration on Huawei devices over several years' usage is much less noticeable than that on devices from the competition. Last but not least, one of the most important reasons I choose Huawei phones is really the outstanding photography capabilities. Since I sold my DSLR and rely completely on my smartphone when it comes to photography, it is indispensable that my phone deliver class-leading camera performance.

However, it is extremely frustrating that due to the ongoing sanctions implemented by US government, Huawei has lost access to some of the most cutting-edge components in its supply chain. Now Huawei has to rely on a series of workarounds (such as Petal Map, Huawei APP Gallery, etc), but nevertheless its phones have lost some of the almost indispensable functions such as 5G and Google services.

My 2nd favourite brand is Vivo which manufactures handsets that have class-leading photography capabilities, and they have access to 5G and Google services!😁 So, my next phone will very much probably be Vivo X100 Pro+ which is due to be launched in Q4 2023. That is really a camera beast that a photography enthusiast like me can really rely on.🤗

If things really get lucky and Mate 60 RS can get 5G connectivity, I might choose that as my next partner. But who knows, I'll wait until Q4 when everything is clear then.😀

Yes it matters, it feels heavy and premium even with a case on it. At this price point this is the best material that can be used.

This may come as a shocker for those that follow my posts, but Huawei. They've always had the best cameras, and that's important to me. And they've always had a little extra in the software department. Like their video editor is pretty much capcut. The only negative lately software side is they no longer do app drawer and I do wish they'd bring that back.

I really like the fold out design of the Xs2 better than the Fold In design of my Samsung Fold 4. The current phones I have are the Xs2, the Fold 4, and the S22Ultra (which I still call the note).

The biggest gripes people have with Huawei is 4G and no Google. I completely get that. Not many people carry two phones all the time (one for work, one for personal). I keep google things on my Samsung. With Petal Search, Huawei has overcome not having the Google Play store for the most part because almost all apps that aren't google are on there.

As far as 4G vs 5G, I've said for years I do not care about 5G. I honestly can't tell a difference between my Samsung or Huawei when watching youtube or surfing the net. I don't really online game on my phone, so maybe that would be different.

Finally, the charging on the Huawei is ridiculously fast. I feel like I usually charge my phone for 20 to 30 minutes when I wake up in the morning, and another 15 to 25 minutes at night when I get home.

I am a Huawei fan too and agree with you 100%

I have used nearly 4 dozens of phones in past. Here are my takes

  1. HTC One X - Best design. Awesome display and camera.
  2. Nokia N900 - Best for IT professional like me. I used to connect to my office machine with simple ssh commands in terminal
  3. iPhone SE (1st gen) - Best compact phone. Still working like charm.
  4. Moto X (1st gen) - Very good phone with super hold design. I have never dropped it.
  5. Samsung S9 - Best camera and sound quality. Their display is top notch
  6. And many mi, oppo, oneplus, etc...

Currently using Pixel 6a. Its a ok phone. Bad 5G reception

Best OS

  1. Oppo color os - Most stable OS
  2. MIUI - Most buggy OS
  3. Stock pixel - Simple and Boring OS
  4. One UI - I prefer touchwiz than one ui.
  5. Oneplus - Super fast (before color os merge)

IMHO, Asus is the best brand. It's not loaded with extra junk.

It can record calls automatically so you can review them if necessary.

I recently ordered online a shirt with a particular shade of green but I got a shirt with another shade of green.

While using what phone? Also from what website? I'm not sure if you're familiar with "What I ordered vs what I got", but whether it's an intentional scam or false advertising, it happens a lot.

The number of phones for each brand that I have owned. Sorry not being clear about that.

I have had 11 Samsung and 11 Google phones. I have had 9 Motorola phones. Many I've traded

11 Samsung phones, 11 Google phones 9 Motorola phones and still you've traded many. Man it's too easy to spot the loops in all of this
