An "affordable" (my definition of 'affordable' is probably much more stringent than yours...) unlocked smartphone with a design that is NOT the classic slab-style all-touchscreen... but not one of those expensive new-fangled foldables, either...

Really?

I had a Treo 600 for a couple years. Still have it, but it's useless.

They do a Treo 600-style with modern tech and Android 13 and id hop on it like a duck on a junebug

The physical keyboards on the BlackBerry KEYᵒⁿᵉ and KEY² allowed for swipe gestures, and other features, among them Keyboard shortcuts, when you can assign actions to keys.

I'm not a fan of the BB keyboard. Buttons were very close together and I would always mistype. My LG Ally or LG enV were my favorite keyboards.

As a person who's been swiping since 2010, the physical keyboard was the only thing I didn't like about my OG Droid. I'd only used it twice: one time to install Froyo & the other for the one time the digital keyboard wouldn't populate. As soon as I could get into the Droid X I was all over it.

I've been swiping for a while too. But I am extra swipe heavy now :P

Oddly, Blackberry 10 OS on my Z10. I just liked it. I know it's not a function/feature, but it was my first smartphone.

Sliders. Whether keyboard or game pad like Sony did or even media controls like Nokia. They are cool.

I thought it was on Jelly Bean or even KitKat. It was on my Note 3, which I had from January 2014-November 2014, but I don't remember it being on my Note 5. I'm trying to find the pic I had it on.

Yes I loved my note 3, probably my all time favorite... All the rooting goodies and abundance of Samsung gimmicks!

Microsd slots in flagship phones

Also the ability to move apps to the card like we used to be able to do.

I know some games are pretty hefty, but I can't think of an app bigger than a gigabyte... That being said, I'm with you, microSD feature needs to be on flagship phones

Combination SD card/SIM card tray located under the volume rocker with water-tight seal and removable with fingernail, not tool. Had this on a Motorola phone a few years ago. A good update to this would be dual SIM. I go to Brazil and being able to put in a second SIM in the airport without a tool is very valuable to me.

Sony's still using the same design on the Xperia lineup, just a little flap you can pry open with your fingernail, IP68 onboard as well.
