OK I respect your opinion but what part did Samsung play in the Huawei ban? Seems like missplaced blame/aggression.

They are a bit of a disappointment, mainly for the fact that if shelling out $1000 or more for a device, it should come with that manufacturers best of the best camera system, not their "flagship" camera system form 2-3 years ago.

I don't know if they helped in any way banning huawei, all I know is that they killed years of innovation when they banned it.

basically s23 ultra is still an upgraded p40 pro+ with some bumped mp and same small sensors mostly.

I have the z fold 4 and looking to trade it in for the 5. Not because I'm super excited for the 5 but rather because the 4 is already failing me with it's unrefined hinge. Also, the trade in I get from the 4 will mostly cover the costs of the 5.

If I can pay $300 or less I will upgrade to the 5, just because I'm afraid of this screen cracking again. Last time I never dropped it. It literally sat in a case on my nightstand most days, so no idea why the screen started doing that bubbling in the center other people had issues with.

No knowledgeable agency or person has ever implied let alone presented any evidence Samsung had anything to do with any ban on Huawei so when you say " they killed years of innovation " let's be clear, Samsung is NOT they. If you dont like Samsung products, dont make up reasons and or untruths as the foundation for your dislike. I have no issues with Huawei technologically but do not worship at the Huawei alter either. Huawei is just one of what may be many an unfortunate victims of the growing worldwide anti Chinese sentiment and distrust. I think any people have the God given right to rule themselves as they see fit. Doesn't mean you me or anyone else (this impies governments also) have to accept or condone it for themselves.

Foldables in general have not ended up as exciting as I thought they would have been. I just stuck to my Pixel 6 Pro since there were too many tradeoffs such as worse camera, less battery life, less durable, higher price, etc.

The new Honor Magic V2 weighs less than an iPhone pro max it's nearly as thin as a slab phone, it has a larger battery (5000 mAh) than Samsung's or Google's foldables and it comes with a stylus. How is that not exciting? What exactly did you want?

The best part of these phones is the trade values Samsung is offering. Otherwise, not much different from the last 2 gens other than the cover screen on the Flip 5 (which still isn't as good as Motorola's)

They’re virtually the exact same phones as the previous ones, the specs are midrange at best, and the cameras are something that are found on entry level devices. Yet for all that, you’re expected to pay a HUGE price premium, all to stare at an ugly crease.

Aren't the cameras the only thing that's midrange? Everything else is good enough that you wouldn't even notice if not reading a spec sheet.

I still think the Motorola Razr Plus is a better device with a more functional cover screen.

Yes, Sammy could have integrated the all app function into the settings instead of using GooLock (or third party Coverscreen OS) but - since I use Sammy's watch and tablet, I'm okay with that situation. If I'm disappointed again with the Flip, I'll get either the 24 Ultra or the Fold 6 - if it adopts the passport form factor.

I pre-ordered the fold 5 only cause my note 10plus is on its last leg, but if it definitely could have lasted another year I would have waited til the note 6 with hopes it would then include a larger outer display, s-pen slot, and expandable memory. Those are what made me buy the Note 7, note 8, and note 10. Did they drop the ball? Yes. They used to be the top phone maker in my opinion but then they started removing more and more "goodies" cause apparently iPhones don't have them. Well we're samsung fans mostly because we like to do things iphones cant. And every year samsung is edging closer and closer to making an iPhone on Android. And eventually we'll have no reason to stay with android & samsung.
