I'm not a fan of either BT or headphone jack. I lose or break both types constantly- so advantage to the cheapest option...jack.

I also prefer jack so I can charge simultaneously or save battery when needed.

Had a wife and kids in Baltimore, Jack...

what phone is that on the photo???

Perfect spot for the jack. Hate it on top or right side.

Headphone jack no longer high quality like "CDLA" Technology. USB Type-C will Support the Same, it is far better than 3.5 mm jack. Then what's the Use of Extra space to 3.5mm jack..?

In the same space, we can use for IR blaster, Extra mic, Second loud Speaker..etc right

I am also a great lover for Gold Plated Earphones with my Old Nokia Gold plated 3.5mm jack..

But Believe the new tech, it is (USB-C) more lovable than 3.5 mm jack

Second: "In the same space, we can use for IR blaster, Extra mic, Second loud Speaker..etc right"

Yes we do. No overhead for cost / size / waterproofing.

Convenient, cheap, large installed headphone base.

Can be used for FM radio.

And can allow to charge while on music or meetings.

Can easily carry over analogue sound to any legacy amplifier.

Plus, you get to carry around an adapter if you need to charge and listen at the same time. Awesome!

I 1000% Disagree. Here's why. Samsung Note 3! It had everything you just listed in a MUCH smaller package. If the networks would allow it, I would TOTALLY go back to my Note 3 NOW! Plus is had 3G still so my phone was ACTUALLY able to make calls. When they turned off 3G my phone went from 5 bars of service all the time... to a circle with a slash through it 75% of the time.

USB-C? Soooo what happens when your phone dies because you can't charge it simultaneously. I have had SEVERAL pair of USB-C headphones: Bowers and Wilkens, Focul, Audeze, Samsung, Sennheiser, Shure, and many more. From $10 up to $899. Guess what! THEY ALL SUCKED! Returned every one of the within 5 days because they couldn't compare to ANY of the wired headphones I have. Trebles were too hot and clipped. Basses were muffled. Mids sounded like I was underwater. But If I take the EXACT same song on Spotify and play it through my Note 3 with any of the wired headphones... perfection. Bluetooth is the same way. ABYSMAL compared to any wired headphones.
