Yes, I pre-ordered the new Sony Xperia just because it is pretty much the only flagship phone that still has one, as well as supporting all of the latest audio formats as well. It's a no brainer purchase if you are an audiophile.

I'm learning to live without it on my S22, but I miss it.

AirPods work well enough for me and any plane rides I go on. I love the noise canceling and spatial audio. No headphone jack needed here.

To each their own, but you can't tell me Apple got rid of the 3.5mm jack out of the kindness of their hearts. Everything is done with a profit motive. I remember when they shipped their phones with wall plugs. Why include for free when they can get people to pay for them? They get away with it because the customers don't push back. Wireless has improved but has not caught up with the sound fidelity of wired.

iPhone X all screen design without chin wouldn't have been possible with 3.5mm jack, that's why Android companies kept making phones with big chin while Apple removed the chin.

"Talking to TechCrunch, Google’s Mario Queiroz said that Google wants to make all-screen phones. And having a 3.5mm headphone jack inside the phone doesn’t fit with that design strategy.

“The primary reason [for dropping the jack] is establishing a mechanical design path for the future,” Queiroz said. “We want the display to go closer and closer to the edge. Our team said, ‘if we’re going to make the shift, let’s make it sooner, rather than later.’ Last year may have been too early. Now there are more phones on the market.”

On the way I use Bluetooth, but at home I like to connect it to my stereo with a wire.

It's nice to have as a feature, but I don't really need it.

I have an galaxy A51 which although not as much as that of iPhone, the screen goes all the way down. It has a headphone jack.

So, Apple was right to remove the jack back in 2016? :) :) :)

It wasn't a crazy idea
