I am sure that you can find earbuds that can fit in ears. You just need to look farther and wider. I don't use cable any more. they have little issue in contacts...

I remember using the IR blaster on my Huawei Mate 20 Pro a lot back in the day. I wonder, though, do normal (average, casual? non-tech nerds?) people use such features?

i have that option on my M40p, but actually never use it. not even start app and make setup...

As I lost wired headphones, I found out that the wireless headphones selection in the market was already far richer. Though my phone still had the jack, I found more convenient wireless replacements and never looked back. I really don't miss a tangled mess in my pocket.

I gave up on trying to find earbuds that fit my ears, settling on sports wireless headphones.

Nope. Don't miss the headphone jack. I use Bluetooth and it's far less obtrusive than using wired headphones.

Wired option isn’t taken away, i have many pair of lighting EarPods and those shipped before with iPhone, so iPhone users had working wired earphones, but may of them still wanted AirPods for effortless usage, people buy wireless because it offers so effortless usage and no playing with wires. After i bought my wf1000-XM4 i never looked back and probably going to upgrade to XM5 this summer when they are available. No wires for me anymore.

To each their own, but you can't tell me Apple got rid of the 3.5mm jack out of the kindness of their hearts. Everything is done with a profit motive. I remember when they shipped their phones with wall plugs. Why include for free when they can get people to pay for them? They get away with it because the customers don't push back. Wireless has improved but has not caught up with the sound fidelity of wired.

Grow up Bro..

Headphone jack no longer high quality like "CDLA" Technology. USB Type-C will Support the Same, it is far better than 3.5 mm jack. Then what's the Use of Extra space to 3.5mm jack..?

In the same space, we can use for IR blaster, Extra mic, Second loud Speaker..etc right

I am also a great lover for Gold Plated Earphones with my Old Nokia Gold plated 3.5mm jack..

But Believe the new tech, it is (USB-C) more lovable than 3.5 mm jack
