I remember using the IR blaster on my Huawei Mate 20 Pro a lot back in the day. I wonder, though, do normal (average, casual? non-tech nerds?) people use such features?
I am sure that you can find earbuds that can fit in ears. You just need to look farther and wider. I don't use cable any more. they have little issue in contacts...
Wired option isn’t taken away, i have many pair of lighting EarPods and those shipped before with iPhone, so iPhone users had working wired earphones, but may of them still wanted AirPods for effortless usage, people buy wireless because it offers so effortless usage and no playing with wires. After i bought my wf1000-XM4 i never looked back and probably going to upgrade to XM5 this summer when they are available. No wires for me anymore.
