I can't get used to the curved screens...it feels very unnatural in the hand. Sadly, most Android flagships are curved ?

While I can see how people prefer flat displays, I can't see how a curved display "feels very unnatural in the hand".

There's a reason Apple has flat displays. They understand the market. The other phone makers are just doing it to be cool and different but it's stupid.

LOL. Wrong. Apple did because up until the the iPhone 15 (allegedly), they always had pretty sizeable bezels.

Maybe it suddenly turns into a tentacle monster or other "unnatural" thing :) :) ;)

I remember the s7 edge. My friend got one and my other friend commented that the icons were falling off the edge lol. It was novel and cool but one that wears off it’s more of s liability. I’ll take a flat panel. A very tight minor curved edge isn’t that bad imo but flat is superior.

While the curved display didn't bother me on the S7 Edge, everything else about that phone definitely did.

Exactly. There really isn't much gain in functionality or aesthetic, plus it makes it that much more of an abuse magnetic, even with the best screen protectors/phone cases. It quite literally sticks out like a sore thumb.

Tell me you guys don't know how to handle a phone with a curved display without.................

Bought my first curved screen phone. It will be my last. Gave it to my daughter. Slippery as ice. IMO, curved screens exist to break and make more money for the companies who make them. Never again!

Tell me you don't know how to handle a phone with a curved display without telling me you don't know how to handle a phone with a curved display.

I've had 5, cracked the display on one. Meanwhile, I can't go anywhere w/o seeing an iPhone with a cracked display. The curve means nothing. It's about the user.

Flat! hate all the accidental screen touches

With or without a case, accidental touches are 95% user error; & probably a higher percentage.

nothing to debate. just buy what you like and enjoy.

Kind of hard to buy what you like if you like the Samsung Ultras, which aren't available with a flat display; ergo, debate is necessary.

I like flat displays. I also like flat sides on phones (like the PH1 had). I was happy to hear that the Pixel 8 series may have flat displays.

I would like to know what that purpose was? Why why they keep insisting on using it. The only thing a curved screen does, is provide less usable space on the screen, increased glare, and more susceptible to scratches.

"The only thing a curved screen does, is provide less usable space on the screen, increased glare, and more susceptible to scratches."

The area of "less usable space" on my S22 Ultra is slightly smaller than the bezel area on my 14 Pro Max.

All areas of the screen on my S22 Ultra are actually more viewable than on my 14 Pro Max at ½ brightness & in direct sunlight.

The flat display on my 14 Pro Max has 2 visible scratches compared to none on my S22 Ultra, which I've had longer & gets more use.
