ZTE Spro 2 Android-powered LTE smart projector now available for use on Verizon
ZTE has made good on its proclamation that its smart projector, the Spro 2, would be available for use on “major wireless carriers” this year. It made its first appearance with AT&T shortly after CES, and can be had there for $359 and a two-year contract.
Now ZTE has a variant of the Spro 2 that can be used on Verizon. For $599 and no contract, you can get this smart projector directly from ZTE and operate on Big Red's LTE network.
The Spro 2 is a compact, and well-appointed device. It has a large, 6,300mAh battery, good for three hours of continuous projector time. Or, it can work as a hotspot for up to 8 users for 10 hours. The Spro 2 can project a screen up to 120-inches and provide 720p HD quality. It is bright too, up to 200 lumens.
Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage. The 5-inch display has a reasonably skinned interface over Android 4.4 KitKat. Since it has access to all the Google Play services, you can stream and project content to your hearts’ content.
