Yu Yuphoria officially unveiled in India; Flash Sale to take place May 28th
The budget priced Yu Yuphoria has been officially announced in India earlier today. Those interested in the device have started to register at Amazon for a flash sale that will take place May 28th at 2pm Indian time. The device is priced at the equivalent of $109 USD. Yu is a subsidiary of India's own Micromax. The Yuphoria is the second handset to be branded with the Yu imprint.
The Yu Yuphoria is equipped with a 5-inch, 720 x 1280 resolution screen which offers protection from scratches thanks to Gorilla Glass 3. The pixel density works out to 294ppi. A 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 CPU is under the hood and the Adreno 306 handles graphics. 2GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of native storage. For those seeking additional memory, there is a 32GB capacity microSD slot available. An 8MP camera adorns the rear of the phone, while a wide angle 5MP snapper takes care of selfies and video chats. A 2230mAh battery keeps the lights on and there is support for 4G LTE connectivity. The handset is powered by Cyanogen 12, which is based on Android 5.0.
