Xiaomi video teaser reminds us that its next flagship model is just days away
Everything that Xiaomi does is now being scrutinized like never before. It goes with the territory. After more than tripling smartphone shipments in 2014, the company will announce its next flagship phone on Thursday. Will it be the Xiaomi Mi5? Will it be the Xiaomi Mi4S? It could even be, as some rumors suggest, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2. Leaked images of all three models have been seen in the last few weeks, so anything is possible.

In a new video posted by the manufacturer today, Xiaomi reminds viewers that the unveiling of its new flagship is just three days away. Along with that information, Xiaomi invited everyone to play its version of Mad Libs. The video says that the new flagship is "As (blank) as paper", The (blank) the better" and "As (blank) as a bell." In order, the probable answers are thin, bigger and clear.

A previous teaser hinted that two devices might be unveiled on January 15th. Assuming that one of them is the Mi5, we're looking at a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. That works out to a drool-producing 565ppi pixel density. A quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 CPU is under the hood while the Adreno 420 GPU is handling graphics. 3GB of RAM is on board. While we were expecting a 16MP camera on back of the device, leaked photos allegedly taken with the phone show that Xiaomi might be sticking with the 13MP snapper employed on the Xiaomi Mi4. The whole shebang is powered by a 3600mAh battery. Sounds like flagship specs to us.

While we couldn't embed Xiaomi's video for you, we did take some screen shots for your pleasure. The expectations are high and the drama is so thick you can cut it with a knife. Stay with us!
