Xiaomi Mi4 to launch in Italy next month; pre-order period starts now
The Xiaomi Mi4 was just introduced earlier this week, loaded to the gills with some sweet specs. Xiaomi's new flagship phone will be available in Italy sometime next month, priced at 394.90 EUR ($530 USD). Xiaomi's Italian distributor has started taking pre-orders for the Mi4 on its website,  The first few versions of the phone will not support LTE, and no date was announced by the manufacturer for the introduction of the LTE compatible unit.

The Xiaomi Mi4 is available in Italy with two color options, black and white. The 5 inch screen features resolution of 1080 x 1920, which works out to a pixel density of 441ppi. Xiaomi is marketing the device as the fastest phone in the world. To get there, the Mi4 has a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU under the hood. That means that the Adreno 330 GPU is crunching graphics. 3GB of RAM is on board and the model being sold now through the website carries 16GB of native storage, although a 64GB model is available in Asia. Both the 13MP rear snapper and the 8MP front-facing camera feature sensors made by Sony. A 3080 mAh battery keeps the power running.

No question that the Xiaomi Mi4 is a drool-producing Android flagship that can go toe-to-toe with other high powered Android models like the Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3 and the HTC One (M8). Unfortunately, Xiaomi's distribution outside the Asian market is limited to third party companies, like the one offering the Mi4 in Italy.

Keep in mind that this is a real pre-order period, and you will need to lay out the money in order to reserve the device. This isn't a pre-registration period where you merely produce your email address so that you can be notified when the phone is up for sale.

Thanks for the tip!
