Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 gets benchmarked, reveals it has Intel Inside
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 has been put through the Geekbench benchmark test, confirming a rumor from back in December that the tablet will have Intel inside. According to the test, the Intel X5-Z8500 SoC will be under the hood, carrying a quad-core 2.24GHz CPU. 2GB of RAM will apparently be employed on the device, and Android 5.1 is pre-installed.

On the Geekbench test, the Mi Pad 2 with the Intel chipset scored a 985 on the single-core test, with a multi-core tally of 3268. The original Xiaomi Mi Pad went through the same test in 2014, and powered by the Tegra K1, it produced results of 1113 (single-core) and 3481 points (multi-core).

The Mi Pad 2 will probably sport the same 7.9-inch glass used on the original model. We could see it unveiled at the same time that the Xiaomi Mi 5 is unwrapped. The latest rumor is that this will take place on December 3rd.

Thanks for the tip!
