The "bezel-less" Xiaomi Mi Mix phone has certainly attracted attention both from the tech media and from end users ever since its announcement, despite the fact that it is a rare commodity even in China, which will be its sole market for now. The reason for this attention is, needless to say, the amount of work Xiaomi put to achieve its record screen-to-body ratio by replacing the earpiece with piezoelectric acoustics, the proximity sensor with a sonar, and moving the selfie shooter at the bottom.
These allowed it to fit a 6.4" screen in the footprint of the 6" Mate 9, for instance, yet that's still a lot of phone to handle in your palm and pocket. Xiaomi has taken notice, as smaller Mi Mix has been making the rounds lately, said to sport a 5.5" display that will probably be outfitted on a chassis not much larger than your average 5-incher. Expected to be called the Mi Mix Nano it is allegedly powered by Snapdragon 821, and has 4 GB RAM, as well as 64 GB of storage.
Another picture of the bezel-less compact has leaked now, depicting something very similar to the Mi Mix in terms of front, lying on a seat somewhere, with Xiaomi's bunny mascot reflected from its screen. The Mi Mix Nano is now tipped to be announced as soon as the first week of December, so we maybe just a fortnight away from seeing many a dreams come true with a 5.5" panel stuffed in your average 5-inch chassis of today.
