Windows Phone users about to get Flipboard
Finally! Magazine style news reader Flipboard has its app listed in the Windows Phone Store, which apparently is a private beta. A statement released by Flipboard states that a Windows Phone version is on the company's roadmap, although it has no exact date when the app will be available. When the Nokia Lumia 830 and Nokia Lumia 730 were introduced, both had the Flipboard app on their respective homescreen.

Back in June 2013, Flipboard said that a version of the app was in the works for Windows Phone. With Android, the app first showed up as an exclusive on the Samsung Galaxy S III in 2012 before becoming official on the platform. Flipboard, which first became available on the Apple iPad, was revamped to fit the smaller iPhone screen in 2011.

While Flipboard's statement today seems to play down an imminent launch of the app for Windows Phone, it does appear that the app is being tested using a private beta. It might not be terribly long before Windows Phone users can download Flipboard on their phones. It should be pointed out that in order to use Flipboard on Windows Phone, your handset needs to have 1GB of RAM, which eliminates some popular low-end models like the Nokia Lumia 520.
