Vivo X5Max s certified by TENAA; thinnest smartphone with 4000mAh+ battery
A variant of the thinnest smartphone in the world has been certified by TENAA in China. At 7.29mm thick, the Vivo X5Max s might not come close to the 4.75mm thickness of the Vivo X5Max. But the extra space goes to good use as a 4150mAh battery is shoehorned inside. The X5Max on the other hand, can only fit a smaller 2000mAh battery inside the unit.
The design is the same as the one used by the X5Max with a two tone metal build. The X5Max s will be equipped with a 5.5-inch screen carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Under the hood is the octa-core MediaTek MT6752 with 2GB of RAM inside. 16GB of native storage is on board and a 128GB capacity microSD slot is available for those requiring additional storage. Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 13MP and 5MP respectively, and the phone supports 4G LTE connectivity. It also offers dual SIM dual standby capabilities.

While the Vivo X5Pro with a retina scanner, ability to shoot 32MP selfies and a Type-C USB port is expected to be unveiled May 13th, we could see the Vivo X5Max s unwrapped on that date as well. If the battery specs and dimensions are correct, this will be the thinnest phone with a greater than 4000mAh cell on the market.
