Verizon's Nokia Lumia Icon page is live again
You might remember earlier this month, Verizon accidentally outed its web page for the Nokia Lumia Icon. The device, aka the Nokia Lumia 929, has been eagerly awaited because of the top-shelf specs on the phone that mirror those found on the Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet, and most high-end Android models. With a smaller 5 inch screen than the 6 inch glass on the Nokia Lumia 1520, the Lumia Icon should give the platform its first true competitor against popular Android models like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the LG G2.
Last time, the listing of the Nokia Lumia Icon quickly disappeared from Verizon's site as quickly as it came, with many hoping that the $777 unsubsidized price for the handset was just a placekeeper. We're happy to say that the listing has reappeared on Big Red's website and this time it looks like it is going to stick. We're even happier to say that the pricing does indeed look like some kind of placeholder, especially since the $777 price is listed as both the subsidized and unsubsidized price of the phone. We expect the device to actually be offered by Verizon for $199.99 with a signed two-year conrract.
